The second day of the state tournament returned the beautiful baseball sunshine and a great day to play ball.

The first game was a nail biter with a 1-1 tie going into the bottom of the fifth.

Pittsfield American was able to break the game open with several big hits to take a 5-1 lead.  Danvers battled in the top of the sixth scoring 2 runs but fell to Pittsfield 5-3 with the tying runs on base.

The second game saw Westboro take an early lead with hot bats in the first inning scoring a quick 7 runs.  Medford could not get the offense going tonight and Westboro took the win 9-2.
